The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it truly is alarmed in regards to the high amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your large number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and here there is no fully functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The assistance stage made for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it difficult to the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional resources to permit the servicing of all shoppers and increase entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
